Blue skies and sunshine

Hello!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunny weather recently! On my days off I like to explore different places around Sapporo.  One of my favorite things to do is going to used book stores!

If you love books, I HIGHLY recommend checking out BOOK LAB! (Located in Kita 18)  They have a wide selection of used books, magazines, DVDs and CDs. I especially loved the art, music and Ainu selections! (100 yen specials too!)
The staff are super friendly as well! 🙂
Today’s pick up item :  Haruki Murakami “Kafka On The Shore”
(In English )

Spring is here!

Long time no see! Hope everyone is doing well! The snow has melted here in Hokkaido and we are having warmer days. Which means Spring has come! I can feel people are coming back to life after the cold winter. Here are some photos I took in Okinawa to share with you all. Let’s feel the warmth and sunshine together!

P.S. Seems like Shiroi Koibito has a cousin. haha

Enjoying the simple things

Hope everyone is doing well! It’s getting colder and colder here in Hokkaido! Seeing the snow fall gives me a very peaceful feeling!

I recently learned a new word in Japanese called, “物の哀れ” / “mono no aware”.  In simple terms, this means enjoying things in life while you can. I really enjoy being out in nature and the snow gives me sense of peace, but I know it won’t last forever. So I have to enjoy the moment as is.

Wherever you are, I hope you can take time to enjoy simple moments in your life. Things might be hard or difficult but I hope you can find peace in something.
